The effectiveness of surveillance in marine protected areas, marine litter, anchoring regulation, pressures monitoring, reducing the impact of agriculture and tourism on the marine environment, educating children and strengthening public awareness… these are all important topics for the preservation of the Adriatic Sea.
The Association for Nature, Environment and Sustainable Development Sunce within the Interreg Italy-Croatia programme in 2024 continues to work on 3 “small scale” projects and starts as many as 5 new “standard” projects that will enable us to work on these issues in the next 2.5 years. ML FREE, VERA, EFFICIENTN2K, AWARE, FishNOWaste, WASTEREDUCE, ASPEH, BIOPRESS – these are project acronyms that you will often hear in the coming years. There are numerous partners from Croatia and Italy with whom we will exchange experiences and find cross-border solutions.
Management of project teams and cooperation with partners will certainly be easier thanks to the trainings on leadership and management skills that we attended this year thanks to the financial support of the BioNET network. You can follow how successful we will be in implementing these exciting projects on our website, social networks and through our newsletter.
